BATTERY FLUX #81 SOLVENT WITH RED DYE

AIM’s Battery Fabrication flux allows the rapid evaporation needed in high volume cast-on-strap manufacturing. This solvent-based flux contains no chlorides or heavy metals to effect long-term performance and is environmentally safe. Another key characteristic is the wide window of operation available with this flux. Whether running at low temperatures due to straps cracking, or high temperatures to accommodate large mass plates, Battery Flux #81 provides consistently strong bonds.

BATTERY FLUX #100 FAST DRY

AIM’s Fast Dry #100 Battery Flux allows the rapid evaporation needed in high volume cast-on-strap manufacturing. This alcohol-based flux contains no chlorides or heavy metals to effect long-term performance and is environmentally safe. Another key characteristic is the wide window of operation available with this flux. Whether running at low temperatures due to straps cracking, or high temperatures to accommodate large mass plates, Fast Dry #100 provides consistently strong bonds.

ACID CORED WIRE SOLDER

Acid Cored Wire features a halide-activated system that has been neutralized with an amine. The aminehydrohalide provides a high activation level that produces excellent tarnish or oxide removal, and maximum capillary action, leading to faster wetting, and reducing the chances of thermal degradation of the board materials. Remaining flux residue is readily soluble in hot water. IPC flux classification for this material is ORH1.

FASTCORE H RESIN-BASED CORED WIRE SOLDER

Fast Core H is a resin-based flux cored wire solder designed to offer excellent wetting characteristics, bright and shiny solder joints, and lead-free compatibility. This product is very active and is recommended for fast cycle time soldering. Fast Core H flux promotes good thermal transfer, offering excellent solder penetration into plated through holes or surface mount interconnections. Fast Core H produces low-to-medium, clear post-process residues. IPC flux classification for this material is REH1.

RMA CORED WIRE SOLDER

RMA is a mildly activated, general-purpose wire solder for use in applications requiring good activation. RMA cored wire is active enough for excellent tarnish or oxide removal, and will produce bright shiny solder joints. RMA wire will leave slight to moderate post-process residues that may be left on noncritical applications, but should be removed from any critical applications. RMA cored wire meets Mil-Spec cleanliness requirements without cleaning. IPC flux classification for this material is ROL0.

Solder Analysis Service

Solder Analysis Service

The solder in a wave solder machine can become contaminated with other metals dissolved during the soldering process. These impurities can affect the physical characteristics and wetting ability of the solder, and may possibly result in defects such as icycling, bridging, pin-holes, webbing and non-wetting.
